- Q:Where is the Knock Sensor Located on Honda Crosstour? Posted by Customer
- A:The knock sensor is located on the front side of the engine block, behind the air intake manifold runners. Remove the intake manifold. Disconnect the electrical connector from the knock sensor. On four-cylinder models, the knock sensor is located on the front of the block, behind the intake manifold. To remove the knock sensor, disconnect the electrical connector, then unscrew the knock sensor with an appropriate deep socket or wrench. Unscrew the knock sensor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to tighten the knock sensor to the torque.V6 models: The knock sensor(s) is located on top of the engine block, underneath the intake manifold assembly. Remove the upper intake manifold. Remove the fuel rail and injector assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector from the knock sensor. Disconnect the electrical connector from the knock sensor (VG models). Unscrew the knock sensor from the engine block. Use a deep socket to remove the knock sensor from a VG engine. Installation is the reverse of removal.
