Make sure the front wheels are pointed straight ahead, then disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and wait at least three minutes. Remove the airbag connector access panel from the bottom of the steering wheel, unplug the airbag module connector, and remove the fasteners retaining the airbag module to the steering wheel.
