Inspect for cracked, torn, or distorted stabilizer bar bushings, bushing retainers, and worn or damaged stabilizer bar links. To replace damaged stabilizer bar bushings, remove the bracket, open the bushing slit and peel the bushing from the stabilizer bar. Install the new bushings with the slits facing the same way that the original bushing slits faced. Guide the stabilizer bar into position. Install the bushing bracket bolts, tightening them.

Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands, Block the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Remove the rear wheels. If applicable, remove the undercarriage trim panel. Remove the sway bar kit link nuts and the sway bar kit bracket bolts and remove the sway bar kit. Pull the brackets off the sway bar kit and inspect the bushings for cracks, hardness and other signs of deterioration. If the bushings are damaged, replace them. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the fasteners.
