How to remove and install a Shift Cable?

Remove the center console. Put the shift lever in Neutral, then remove the retaining clip from the cable adjuster. Unbolt the shift cable bracket and holder from the floorpan. Remove the shift cable cover and control lever from the control shaft. Be careful not to bend the cable. Installation is reverse of removal. Adjust the shift cable. Check the shift lever in all gears. Readjust if necessary.
