Place jack stands under the car, unscrew the wheel lug nuts, lift the car, and get it secured on the jack stands. Make sure wheels on the front are blocked to prevent moving. Remove the wheel from the car. Park the car with the wheels blocked and take out the front tire to keep the vehicle stationary. Place safety stands under the coil spring pocket to hold up the lower arm B. Before you do that, remove the stabilizer link from lower arm B. Take the ABS wheel speed sensor cable off the lower arm B. Before doing this, make sure you record where the spring sits between the insulators over it. Unscrew the bolt holding the lower arm B onto the knuckle base. Move down the jack slowly, and take the coil spring out. Look for breaks and crumbling parts in the coil spring. Replace the whole set if you find any damage. Meanwhile, look over the top insulator for signs of wear and tear. Substitute it out if needed. Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following points: It's important to align the coil spring's bottom part with the hollow portion of the trailing arm. Lift outer lower arm B with a floor jack so the vehicle sits at usual ride height, then tighten control arm bolt to specification, and wheel lug nuts to correct torque.
