Remove the tri-pot bearing assembly from the axleshaft, then remove the stop-ring.7. Clean and Disassemble: Clean old grease from the outer race and tri-pot. Disassemble the tri-pot and clean the needle bearings with solvent.8. Inspect and Replace: Check rollers, tri-pot, bearings, and outer race for damage. Replace damaged parts.9. Boot Placement: Slide the boot onto the axleshaft, ensuring the tape-wrapped splines are protected. Install the inner snap-ring.10. Tri-Pot Assembly: Align the marks and tap the tri-pot assembly onto the axleshaft.11. Apply Grease: Apply grease to hold the needle bearings in place. Ensure each roller is on its original post.12. Equalize Pressure: Use a blunt screwdriver to equalize pressure in the boot by inserting it between the boot and outer race.15. Install Boot Clamps: Tighten new boot clamps.16. Inner CV Joint Disassembly: Remove the inner CV joint and disassemble it following the above steps.17. Dynamic Damper and Outer CV Joint: If the driveaxle has a dynamic damper, mark its position, cut the clamp, and remove it. Remove the outer boot clamps and slide off the boot.
