  Q: How do you remove and install the muffler assembly on Honda CRX?

  A: To eliminate and replace the muffler assembly, initial, lift the car and sustain it on ramps. Closely, next remove the U-bolt assembly and the rubber insulators on the hanger brackets, then to remove the muffler assembly, slide it backward to the rear of the car to eliminate it from the exhaust terminal. Replace any needed parts, then install the muffler assembly under the car and push it forward over the exhaust pipe tilting the gasket into the slot on the muffler and the tab on the exhaust pipe so that they click into place. On the muffler examine and set the nuts of the muffler to exhaust pipe to 16 ft. pound. Press the vertical force of 22 Nm, the rubber insulators must be placed at the topside of the hanger assemblies, and screw the U-bolt to the tightened. Lastly, look for any leaks on the system before dropping the vehicle.
