Honda 54020-S9V-A61 Bracket Set, Select Lever

Takeoff the covers that protect the steering column. First raise the parking brake, move the gearshift into Neutral. Take off the connection between the shift cable and the Automatic Transmission Shift Levers and its bracket. If your vehicle has an anti-theft system, unplug it's control wire. Take the connectors for the shift lock solenoid and park pin switch apart from where they connect to the steering column assembly. Loosenen and remove the bolts that hold the shift lever onto the car. Take off the shift lever afterward. You put the shift cable back into place in the same way you took it out, and readjust the cable.
