    Every 3000 miles or 3 months the hinges and latch assemblies on the doors, hood and trunk (or lift gate) should be lubricated with a few drops of light oil or lock lubricant. Also, care should be taken to lubricate the door latch strikers with a thin layer of grease so as to reduce the amount of wear and also to improve on the smoothness of the door latch strikers. It is also important to spray on the graphite lubricant on the door and trunk ( or liftgate) lock.
