- Q:How to replace a Receiver-Drier in an AJC System? Posted by Customer
- A:When replacing entire components, additional refrigerant oil should be added equal to the amount that is removed with the component being replaced. Be sure to read the can before adding any oil to the system, to make sure it is compatible with the R-134a system. Have the refrigerant discharged and recovered by an air conditioning technician. Remove the condenser. Remove the bracket bolt that mounts the A/C Accumulator to the condenser. Carefully separate the A/C Accumulator from the condenser. Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to install new 0-rings onto the A/C Accumulator fittings and lightly coat them with refrigerant oil. Note: Only use 0-rings that are designed specifically for AJC system applications. If you are replacing the A/C Accumulator, add 1/3-ounce of refrigerant oil to the new replacement. Reconnect the battery. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.Posted by HondaPartsNow Specialist
