    Q:
How to remove a front shock absorber on a Honda Pilot? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the strut, loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, and remove the wheel. Disconnect the stabilizer bar link and brake hose bracket from the strut. Detach the ABS speed sensor wiring harness and remove the strut-to-knuckle nuts and bolts. Separate the strut from the steering knuckle and remove the strut and spring assembly. Mark the struts as left or right if both are being removed. Inspect the strut for damage and the coil spring for chips or cracks. If issues are found, disassemble the strut. To install, guide the assembly into the fender well and secure with nuts. Reattach the brake hose bracket, speed sensor wiring harness bracket, and stabilizer link. Install the wheel, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts. Finally, check and adjust the front wheel alignment if necessary.

    Q:
How to replace the rear shock absorbers on Honda Pilot with active damper control? Posted by Customer
    A:
Use wheel chocks to stop the front wheels from turning, take off the rear wheel's lug nuts. Then lift up the car's back using the jack, and support it with jack stands under the rear jacking points before heading back down. Remove the rear wheels. Put a floor jack under the coil spring pocket of lower arm B to help hold it up. Loosen the top shock mount bolt, next take off the bottom nut and washer, and then remove the shock from its location. If necessary, compress the shock and remove it. First, put the shock absorber's washer back on the bottom mounting stud, with its curved side looking away from the shock as you install it. Bring the jack into action to lift lower arm B to match normal ride heights before you tighten each end point connection with the correct force. Do this same step for the other end to install the second rear shock absorber. Attach the tires and nuts, bring the vehicle to its usual height, and make sure to fasten the nuts at the maximum allowed torque.
