Honda 52610-SHJ-L01 Shock Absorber Assembly, Rear

Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts and chock the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling, then raise the rear and support it securely on jackstands placed underneath the rear jacking point before removing the rear wheels. Support lower arm B with a floor jack positioned under the coil spring pocket, then remove the shock absorber upper mounting fastener(s) followed by the lower mounting nut and washer to take out the shock absorber. To install the new shock absorber, reverse the removal procedure, ensuring the washer is placed on the lower mounting stud with the concave side facing away from the shock absorber. Raise lower arm B with the jack to simulate normal ride height, then tighten the mounting bolt and nut to the specified torque, replacing the lower nut and washer with new ones during assembly. Repeat the process for the other rear shock absorber, then install the wheels and lug nuts, lowering the vehicle and tightening the lug nuts to the specified torque.

Detach the ABS speed sensor wiring harness from the strut by removing the clamp bracket bolt.
