First you have to set the engine at TDC of cylinder number 1, then next step would be to remove the
Oil Pan followed by the balance shaft assembly in order to remove the oil pump. While handling the procedures, unscrew the oil pump mounting bolts gently and, on finally having all the mounting bolts loose, unthread the oil pump as well. For inspection, check the oil pump rotor-to-cover clearance, tooth tip clearance, and outer rotor-to-body clearance, and oil pump rotor-to-cover clearance with low oil pressure, replacing the pump if any measurements are beyond its limit. Unscrew the pressure relief valve plug and pull out the spring and plungers, and look for deformation and abrasion, and replace them if they are so affected. Insert the pump rotors, and fill the spaces between the rotors with petroleum jelly, in order to create suction. Use clean engine oil on the pump housing bolts and secure the housing before using the specified torque to tighten the housing bolts, install the oil pressure relief valve and spring assembly with a new sealing washer on the plug, tighten the plug to the specified torque. For installation, tighten the oil pump housing bolts with hand until they are close and then continue to gradually tighten them to the specified torque. Make sure that the engine is set to TDC for cylinder number 1, and then put the balance shaft along with the oil pan. Refill the engine with new oil and replace the oil filter, after which reconnect the battery. Last, turn on the engine and check on the dipstick that oil pressure shows normal and if it does not rise to normal, shut down the engine due to serious harm that could arise from lack of enough oil pressure.
