Disconnect the battery cable, remove the intake manifold (4-cylinder models), and label & disconnect wires from the starter motor solenoid. Remove the starter mounting bolts and detach the starter. Installation is the reverse of removal. Ensure the crimped side of the ring terminal faces up/forward, tighten bolts to torque, and reconnect the battery cable. Enter the anti-theft code, enter radio station presets, and reset the power window control unit. Remove the battery (V6 models), remove the bolt & detach the harness bracket, and reconnect the battery.
