- Q: How do you replace the horns on Honda Civic?A:To replace the horns on a Civic, first raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on jack stands. Remove the front bumper cover, then locate the high tone horn on the driver's side and the low tone horn on the passenger's side. Disconnect the electrical connector from each horn, remove the horn mounting bracket bolt, and take out the horn. For the CR-V, begin by raising the front of the vehicle and securing it on jack stands, then remove the lower radiator splash shield. Reach up to disconnect the horn mounting bolt, and remove the horn and bracket as an assembly, followed by disconnecting the electrical connectors. Installation for both models is the reverse of removal.
