How Do You Remove the CMP Sensor from a Honda Crosstour?

To remove the CMP sensor from a four-cylinder engine, depress the release tab, and disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the sensor mounting bolt and pull the sensor straight out. For a V6 model, put the piston in the No. 1 cylinder at the Top Dead Center, remove the upper timing belt covers, lock the timing belt adjuster, loosen the idler pulley bolt, remove the timing belt from the front camshaft sprocket, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the timing belt rear cover, remove the CMP sensor mounting bolt and remove the CMP sensor. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use a new O-ring and tighten the CMP sensor mounting bolt.
