How do you properly remove and reinstall a trunk lid on Honda CRX?

Open the trunk lid and position a cloth or cushion to protect the painted areas. Mark the hinge locations on the trunk lid for proper reinstallation. Support the trunk lid by hand and remove the bolts attaching it to the hinge, then take off the trunk lid. Install the trunk lid in position, aligning the marks made during removal, and install the retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm) and adjust the trunk lid as needed. To align, loosen the hinge attaching bolts until they are just loose enough to move the trunk lid. Adjust the trunk lid forward and aft to achieve a flush fit with the rear fender. For a snug fit with the weatherstrip, loosen the lock striker attaching bolts to move the lid, adjusting the striker as necessary. After making the adjustments, securely tighten the striker bolts.
