Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the front of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the front wheel. Next, remove the headlight housing and the inner fender splash shield by taking out the push-pin retainers, mounting screws, and bolt; to remove a push-pin retainer, lift the center pin and pop the retainer out. If the passenger side fender is being removed, take off the radio antenna. Then, remove the lower fender-to-body bolts at both the front and rear. Open the front door, take off the trim panel from the front pillar, and remove the upper fender-to-body bolts. Continue by removing the remaining fender mounting bolts along the upper edge of the engine compartment. Carefully lift off the fender, ideally with assistance to prevent damage to surrounding body panels. For installation, follow the reverse order of removal and check the alignment of the fender to the
Hood and front edge of the door before final tightening of the fender fasteners.
