Before pulling the wheel it would be useful to slightly unscrew the bolts, to lift up the front part of the car and put it on stands with the help of a jack, and also engage the parking lock. Second, take off the wheel and shift the lower arm with a jack or a jackstand in such a way that the support point is as close as possible to the balljoint. Remove the brake hose connection from the caliper, the upper control arm and the metal line. Now detach the cotter pin and steering knuckle nut to detach the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle, it is important to do this very carefully so that the assembly does not fall towards the outer aspect as this may cause severe damage to the break hose. Lift upper arm pivot shaft and take out the bolt and washer and shims and nut plate from the frame for upper arm pivot shaft, make sure that to mark position of the shims so that the wheel position can be set unchanged. Remove the upper arm from the vehicle and if required, undone the pivot shaft nuts and washers and check for the bushings. For installation, put the washers and nuts on the ends of the shaft without the use of screws, fit the upper part of the assembly of the control arms on the frame and then put the nuts for the bolts and shaft of the pivot plates. Place alignment shims back to their respective positions and fasten the bolts and nuts of the pivot shaft and frame according to the torrue prescribed. Screw the nut onto the balljoint and then torque the nut to the recommended amount of torque to a steering knuckle. Fit the brake hose back to the metal line, upper arm and to the caliper and then proceeded with the bleeding process. Finally, the wheel and the nuts are fitted, the vehicle lowered and the nuts tightened to the appropriate round nuts and then the vehicle is taken to a shop for alignment check and adjustment if required.
