    How to Replace the Rear Wheel Hub and Bearing Assembly on the Honda Accord? Posted by Customer

    The rear hub and bearing are combined into a single assembly. The bearing is sealed for life and requires no lubrication or attention. If the bearing is worn or damaged, replace the entire hub and bearing assembly. For 2007 and earlier models, loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands. Block the front wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Remove the wheels. Remove the brake drum or disc. Remove the dust cover then unstake and remove the hub retaining nut. Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the spindle. Installation is the reverse of removal, noting the following points: Install a new hub retaining nut and tighten it. Stake the new hub nut in place. Apply a little clean engine oil to the seating surface of the hub retaining nut before installing it. Install the dust cover by tapping lightly around the edge until it is seated. On models with rear disc brakes, tighten all the caliper bolts. Install the wheel and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the lugnuts. For 2008 and later models, loosen the rear wheel lug nuts. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the brake disc. Remove the hub assembly mounting bolts from the back side. Remove the hub and bearing assembly from the trailing arm. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten all fasteners.

    How do you remove the steering knuckle for the 2015 Honda Civic? Posted by Customer

    Using the proper adapter and press plate, press the hub out of the knuckle/wheel bearing with a hydraulic, from the back side to the front. Using a bearing splitter and the proper adapter, press the hub through the bearing inner race. Remove the screws and detach the disc splash shield from the knuckle. Remove the snap-ring from the backside of the knuckle.
