    To make backseat hub service easier, automakers designed for 2008 and beyond to include a permanent bearing and hub set that needs no oil or maintenance. When the bearing gets bad or stops working, you have to replace both the hub and bearing altogether. Before you start, remove the rear wheel lug nuts. Lift one end of the vehicle and put it on two secure jackstands. Loosen the brake disc, then you can remove the hub assembly by taking out the mounting bolts of the back side. Next, remove both parts of the hub and bearing from the trailing arm. We put everything back together by making sure all the screws stay tight.

    To remove the hub and bearing assembly on 2008 and later models, you need to loosen the rear wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, remove the brake disc, and remove the hub assembly mounting bolts from the back side. Finally, remove the hub and bearing assembly from the trailing arm.
