    To start with CR-V models, take out the left side access panel from the shifter base. Unstrap and remove the harness for the shift knob, then snap off the connector at the end of the shift knob (O/D switch) harness. Untwist the shift knob from the shift lever by removing its two screws. Installation is the reverse of removal.
