Within the compartment of the car, first, take out the bolts that are used to hold the hood latch handle assembly, and separate the opener cable from the assembly and going further take the front bumper assembly out. Next, unbolt the hood latch mounting bolts and sever the cable, the driver's side inner fender shield should then be removed and the cable pulled through the wheel well. They thus recommended that a rope be fixed on the end of cables to be imported in order to facilitate the laying of the new cable. After the new cable is in place, the inner fender shield must be fitted, and the cable at the hood latch; this requires the latch retaining bolts with the tightening torque or 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm). Last, plug the cable at the release assembly inside the car and fit the release assembly retaining bolts; align the hood latch if required.
