After the new cable is in place, the inner fender shield must be fitted, and the cable at the hood latch; this requires the latch retaining bolts with the tightening torque or 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm). Last, plug the cable at the release assembly inside the car and fit the release assembly retaining bolts; align the hood latch if required.
