Honda 17044-T0A-A00 Fuel Tank

If your CR-V's fuel tank is empty, refilling it is simple compared to other cars because it lacks a drain plug. You must siphon the fuel with a special kit found at auto stores, and sucking fuel to get started is against the rules. First, relieve the fuel system pressure. Then, pull off the cable from the battery's negative end. Take apart the parts that let fuel go from the pump to gauge, and disconnect the electric connection. Place the vehicle on jackstands and secure it firmly. When the tank is almost dry, you don't need to siphon fuel out; but if there's still lots of fuel left, drain it by removing the tank's pump and gauge and siphoning through its hole. Roll up the driver's side rear wheel, afterward detach both sides of your car's undercar cover. Remove the exhaust pipe mounting bolts and pipe. For 4WD models, remove the driveshaft. Unscrew the fasteners holding the fuel tank guard, and take off the guard facing toward the front of the tank. Clean all the parts around the fuel filler neck hose connection and the fuel tank vapor hose joint. Then safely remove those two connectors. Unplug the tube connecting fuel tank vapors directly at the tank's front. Hold the fuel tank still by using either a transmission jack or a floor jack, making sure you put a piece of wood between the jack head and the fuel tank to prevent damage. Carefully unlock and take out the fuel tank retaining clamps, then carefully lower the tank down after that. Installation is the reverse of removal.
