Honda Del Sol Antenna

Radio signal reception for entertainment and communication systems becomes better through use of the Antenna found in Honda Del Sol vehicles. Thin steel tubes form the basis of Antenna structure while Antenna classifications include internal and external and satellite models. Internal Antennas within the Honda Del Sol appear either at the trunk or dashboard and windshield but the external Antennas using metal or fiberglass materials reside at the hood or trunk area. The satellite Antenna enables optimal sound reception because it locates at the roof of the vehicle. The Honda Del Sol owners have witnessed different system part designs transform from extensive manual moveable designs to contemporary minimalistic styles throughout its production period. New symbolic replacement units provided by modern manufacturers appear either integrated into the vehicle structure or fixed to the hood or roof to optimize signal reception quality. A malfunctioning replacement part plays a key role in the vehicle because it affects the performance of both sound systems and communication systems.

Honda Del Sol Antenna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How do you replace the antenna on a Civic and a Del Sol?
    A:
To replace the antenna on a Civic, the user has first to remove the antenna lead found at the radio. After that, take a piece of string or wire and join it with the antenna lead at the radio end, next unscrew the mounting bolts and take out the antenna from the body pillar. Tie the wire or string on the new lead of the new antenna then as you lower the new lead into position the wire or string pulled in the pillar. Then there shall be disconnection of the string or wire and later connecting the antenna lead to the radio before finally firmly securing the nut at the base of the antenna mounting screw. Regarding disassembly, for the Del Sol, start at the mast, lock nut, then the nut, and finally, the spacer. Move on to the right side interior panel and you will have to take out the mounting nut and disconnect the antenna lead after which the assembly has to be pulled through an opening in the fender. Last of all, installation is just the opposite of removals.
