Engage the parking brake and put the gear lever into Reverse. Remove the center console. Unscrew and take away the shifter trim that surrounds the shift lever. Open up the access panel on the left side of the shifter base that you can see. Disconnect the shift knob electrical connector. Take off the connection of the shift cable from the shift operator. Take out the plug holding the shift lever to the shifter base from underneath. Pull out the whole shift lever by unplugging one connector, pulling 3 bolts from under the shifter plate's left side and lastly through the same access hole. To install, follow exactly what you did to take it apart. Then make sure the neutral lights are working properly when the ignition key is switched on. Adjust the shift cable when needed.
