- A:Four-cylinder models require the removal of the ignition coil cover to access the ignition coils. This is done by removing the four nuts and the coil cover. The electrical connector from the ignition coil is then disconnected and the mounting bolt or stud is removed. The ignition coil is then removed from the spark plug by grasping it firmly and pulling straight up. Installation is the reverse of removal, with the ignition coil mounting bolt or stud being tightened to the torque. For V6 models, the ignition coil cover is removed first. The electrical connector from the ignition coil is then disconnected. The ignition coil mounting bolt is removed to detach the ignition coil, and the coil is pulled straight out. The ignition coil is then removed from the spark plug. Installation is the reverse of removal, with the ignition coil mounting bolt being tightened to the torque.Posted by HondaPartsNow Specialist
