    To remove and install the IAC valve, the negative battery cable should be disconnected, the wiring harness should be detached from the IAC valve, the two retaining bolts should be removed, the IAC valve should be removed and the old seals or gaskets should be discarded. The gasket mating surfaces should be cleaned thoroughly.
