Finally prise apart the little pad on a small lug of a key way by means of careful fingers to get into a position where you can yank it out; after that you will have to pull out this very item which is called "a wiper/washer switch". The procedure for removing a wiper/washer switch involves an electrical connector removal, taking off retaining screws as well as prying away housing from that small pad on top of such device until it finally comes out.
