To begin the removal process for safety reasons, firstly disconnect the cable from the negative terminal on the battery and wait for at least 3 minutes before proceeding. Next, remove both upper and lower steering column covers including knee bolster. To remove the headlight switch, high beam/low beam switch and turn signal switch which make up multi-function switch, disconnect its electrical connectors from the switch and take out retaining screws. Finally prise apart the little pad on a small lug of a key way by means of careful fingers to get into a position where you can yank it out; after that you will have to pull out this very item which is called "a wiper/washer switch". The procedure for removing a wiper/washer switch involves an electrical connector removal, taking off retaining screws as well as prying away housing from that small pad on top of such device until it finally comes out.
