Clean the flywheel, inspect for cracks and check the ring-gear teeth. Lay the flywheel on a flat surface and check for warpage. Clean the flywheel and crankshaft mating surfaces. Replace a leaking crankshaft oil seal before reinstalling the flywheel. Position the flywheel against the crankshaft, noting the offset bolt holes. Tighten the bolts in a criss-cross pattern in stages. Reverse the removal procedure to complete installation.
