First take off the center pillar trim and the front pillar trim, then take off the negative battery cable. Then, remove the seat belt track mounting bolts and the track; also, to remove the drive unit pull out the drive unit mounting bolts. Then, you should turn off the ignition and unbolt the lap belt assembly cover and the mounting bolts and finally, take out the lap belt assembly. Go further to take out the front seat assembly including the seat belt retractor assembly bolts as well as the retractor. For removal, loosen the above bolts and then unbolt the seat belt track bolts and completely remove the seat belt from installation site. To install the above, reverse the above steps and tighten the seat belt track bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm) and the drive unit bolts to 7 ft. lbs. (10 Nm). Consult the LSA and properly install the lap belt assembly before tightening the bolts to 23 ft. lbs. The rear seat back fold bolt was the tightest at 32 NM while the seat belt assembly used bolts that were tightened to 35 ft lbs. (35 Nm). Finally adjust and fix the seat and all other interior trim panels, connect the negative terminal of the battery and inspect the functionality of the seat belt assembly. The rear lap belt is installed by pulling the belt out and removing the mounting bolts and the belt mounting bolts must be tightened to 23ft/lbs or 31Nm. (32 Nm). The rear 3-point belt is dismantled in the same manner as the front belts with the added detail that it is necessary to remove the rear quarter trim panel or C pillar panel.
