Honda 52400-SR3-A00 Left Rear Arm (Upper)

Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, place it securely on jackstands, and remove the wheel while supporting the lower control arm with a floor jack. Remove the cotter pin and loosen, but do not remove, the castle nut from the upper balljoint stud to prevent the upper control arm and steering knuckle from separating violently. Use a two-jaw puller to separate the upper control arm from the steering knuckle, ensuring the top of the steering knuckle does not fall out; if needed, secure it to the shock absorber with a piece of wire. Remove the upper control arm pivot nuts and bolts along with the balljoint nut, then take out the upper control arm, noting that the heads of the pivot bolts face away from each other for proper reinstallation. If the inner pivot bushings are worn, take out the anchor bolts from the inner fenderwell, mount them in a vise, and drive the bushings out with an appropriately-sized drift, then press the new ones in using the vise. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened to the specified torque values.

Remove the pivot bolt from the inner end of the lower control arm and then separate the arm from the chassis.
