Rub all surfaces of the
Intake Manifold, cylinder head, and valve cover with a shop rag until no trace remains of old gaskets and sealants left over from removal. Before installing the valve cover, put the new gasket into its grooved spot on the valve cover so it fits right. Install new seals on the spark plug tubes. After cleaning the mating areas with soft-face hammer blows if needed, use RTV sealant to fill up the grooves on the timing chain cover and high-pressure fuel pump base if your car uses these parts. Follow the precise nut/bolt torque instructions while putting them back on in the right order. The final part of installation runs in the opposite manner as removal. Reconnect the battery.
