Place an overhaul O-ring at the end of the camshaft retainer plate before clamping the retainer plates. Do the same for the other camshaft and then restore all elements of the engine in the reverse order than it was dismantled. Lastly, engage the engine to examine for oil leakages at the camshaft seals, start the automobile and revolve it for five minutes at minimal speed to discharge air from the lost motion assemblies, though tappet clamour at initiation of the assembly may be observed and should raise concern if it is persistent.
