Honda Ridgeline Hazard Warning Switch

The Honda Ridgeline Hazard Warning Switch allows drivers to immediately flash all four turn indicators, signaling to everyone in the area they are in trouble or stopping by the side of the road. It is located at the center of the dash as a red triangle button, and when the Hazard Warning Switch is pressed, it completes a circuit that causes every turn lamp to blink simultaneously for maximum visibility. Across every Honda Ridgeline year, this Hazard Warning Switch retains the same push design, so owners know how it works as they have grown accustomed to doing it from the first 2006 edition through the recent model. Unlike controls that move to touch panels, the Ridgeline has a tactile Hazard Warning Switch for quick access without having to look away, a choice Honda makes to put safety first in the event of sudden breakdowns or bad weather. Sharing circuitry with the turn signals, the Hazard Warning Switch utilizes the existing flasher relay, reducing parts and weight and assisting Honda with giving the Ridgeline a reliable emergency alert.

Honda Ridgeline Hazard Warning Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace Cruise Control Switch,Hazard Warning Switch and Headlight Switch on Honda Ridgeline?
    A:
The driver area of Ridgeline models has multiple switch controls on the right side, with one large instrument panel that holds three main parts: the instrument gauges, audio system display, and controls for climate and heating. Before you can take out any of these four switches - cargo light, rheostat, moon roof, or VTM-4 LOCK - you need to unhook the instrument trim panel to access them. Start by taking the instrument trim panel apart. After that, unlatch the electrical plugs, unscrew the switch mounts from their rear position, and pull out the switch. You must take off two pieces of trim to replace the hazard flasher, VTM-4 LOCK, and passenger airbag switches. The 2006 and newer hazard switch models come with a bulb you can unscrew and replace on your own. After finishing your switch work, plug the wire end back into the negative car battery terminal.
