How to remove the steering wheel on Honda Ridgeline?

First check your car's front wheels are facing directly forward. Then take off the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait for three minutes before continuing. Unscrew the panel below your steering wheel that lets you access airbag connections, and take out the electrical plug that powers the airbag module to make sure it won't deploy. Take out the steering wheel fasteners holding the airbag module, pull off the module, and put it someplace where it won't get damaged. First, disconnect the two radio remote and cruise control switch connections. Use caution to mark the steering wheel hub position before you unscrew its retaining nut/bolt. Then loosen the nut or bolt again for the following step. Place the puller while making sure that its screw touches only the inside of the bolt used to fix the steering wheel onto the steering shaft. A steering wheel puller is required - taking the wheel off by hand or using a hammer can twist the wheel and break the horn's contact points. Keep the bolts of the puller from going into the steering wheel more than five times so you don't touch or harm the airbag clock spring. Keep the steering shaft still when removing the steering wheel to keep your clock spring from getting damaged. Before taking off the clock spring, first take out the steering column covers. To take the clock spring out, disconnect its electrical wires from above and press the release buttons that hold it to the combination switch. Point your car's front wheels directly forward, then make sure the arrow on the clock spring is facing up. Shift the spring clockwise once it stops, and a second time counterclockwise by about 2.5 turns to center it. Once you've placed the steering wheel on the shaft, make sure the clock spring's locating pins fit into the small holes on the backside of the wheel, and the wheel's notch hooks into the right spots on the turn signal canceling cam. Attach the steering wheel bolt/nut and fasten it at the right force, join the remote radio controller and cruise control buttons. Hook up the airbag part with fresh bolts, making sure they're tightened correctly. Follow that with connection cases for the airbag device and horn (if there is one), then put the battery back.
