The Honda Ridgeline Fuel Rail delivers very high pressure fuel directly to solenoid injectors to increase power and reduce consumption. Holding over 2,000 bar, the common rail feeds an even amount of fuel to each cylinder in the form of fine droplets so fine their immense surface area helps to quickly vaporize fuel and mix it well with air for cleaner, stronger combustion. Earlier Honda trucks had lower pressure feed lines, but the current Fuel Rail was introduced to have constant pressure throughout the rev range, eliminating the need for separate mechanical pumps and means that the throttle response is also much smoother. All Ridgeline models have this common rail layout and although calibrations may have changed, the basic Fuel Rail design remains, therefore not having to switch to a different hardware style, each new Honda Ridgeline becomes more efficient. Inside the intake valley, the Fuel Rail of later Honda Ridgeline editions is constructed of tougher alloy. This Fuel Rail has proven both durable and compact.
