About Honda Neutral Safety Switch
The Honda neutral safety switch is wired to the circuit going to your car's starter solenoid. This Honda switch prevents the engine from being cranked up when the gear selector is neither in Park nor Neutral setting. When your car is in the forward or reverse gear, this Honda neutral safety switch is then put in the "open" position, preventing any current from activating the starter solenoid. If you can't readjust the Honda neutral safety switch or it's already shorted, it's best to replace it.
